About Us
Triple Cross Ranch was born from a passion for Whitetail deer and a desire to continue a heritage that often seems to be disappearing before our eyes. In the 1950’s Dick and Jessie Gaye Harbin purchased the land that makes up Triple Cross Ranch. It was on this land that Richard began hunting alongside his father, and first felt the stirrings that would become a life-long passion. Richard’s father once told him when he was young, “If you want to stay in ranching, you better get a town job.” On this advice, Richard chose dentistry as his career, and continues to have a “town job” in Dublin, Texas. Richard and his wife, Myra, fervently believe that it has been God’s blessings that have allowed them to build today’s ranch. It seemed only fitting that it be named Triple Cross Ranch. Triple Cross Ranch was established in 1997 when Richard Harbin began converting the family cattle ranch into an operation dedicated to raising trophy Whitetail deer. Comprised of approximately 600 acres, all of which are high-fenced, Triple Cross Ranch lies in the ravines and rolling hills of north central Texas – an area known for its deer habitat. The Ranch dedicates 38 acres to the breeding and raising of quality Whitetail deer, many of which are later released into the hunting acreage. Richard and his wife Myra believe in the adage, “quality over quantity.” Since introducing Northern genetics in 2000, the Triple Cross Ranch herd has made tremendous improvements in overall mass and score. In 2001 Triple Cross Ranch attained its Scientific Breeder permit and continues to breed and select for World-class quality stock. Detailed records are kept on all bucks, does and their progeny. Located just one hour southwest of Dallas / Ft. Worth, Triple Cross Ranch offers guided deer hunts and genetics (bucks and does) for purchase based on availability. Dove, duck and turkey hunting enthusiasts will also find incredible opportunities within the fences of Triple Cross Ranch. At Triple Cross Ranch, the Harbins are proud to carry on the "Heritage of Hunting."
